The world was dark but the runway was lit early Monday when a small plane belly landed at North Perry Airport because of apparently faulty landing gear.
The landing at the airport, 101 SW 77th Way, happened about 2 a.m.
“Investigators revealed that the landing gear failed to deploy,” police said in a tweet later Monday morning that included pictures of the plane on the runway.
The pilot wasn’t hurt, police said, and the plane was safely removed from the runway.
The cause of the landing gear malfunction wasn’t immediately known.

Failed to deploy.
ReplyDeleteDid the pilot initiate a gear deployment by pulling the gear level to the down position?
