Flying in Style - or Perhaps for War - at the Dubai Air Show

The biennial Dubai Air Show now underway has it all - except the gigantic aircraft orders that manufacturers need to keep their assembly lines humming.

So far it's seen just a fraction of the $179 billion haul that was landed two years ago.

Planemakers and airlines signaled they expect relatively few further deals at the expo as the industry pauses to digest a record number of new planes.

It's not all bad news: Boeing's order book will last eight years, while Airbus has about a decade of slots full.
