French fire-fighting pilot crashes on blaze

The pilot of a French fire-fighting aircraft escaped with a slight head injury Saturday when his plane crashed into the blaze he was trying to put out. The incident happened in the Herault region of southern France as the plane was water-bombing a heath fire, when a sudden gust of wind caused it to hit the ground. The pilot managed to get out of the cockpit and run to safety, but the plane was totally destroyed by the flames.
