Four aircraft take on fire north of Beulah

The Forest Service has mobilized four aircraft in hopes of quickly extinguishing a fire between Beulah and Wetmore.

The fire has been named the Ditch Creek Fire. It is now estimated at two to three acres and burning in rugged terrain near the 5700 block of North Creek Road north of Beulah.

A hazy plume can be seen from Pueblo.

Forest Service Spokesman Steve Segin says two helicopters and two fixed-wing aircraft are already working to drop water on the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
