Trainee pilot assaulted female cadet after RAF party

A TRAINEE pilot assaulted a female cadet at RAF Cranwell by "overpowering" her and pulling her into his bedroom, a court heard.

Mohammed Ebrahim Morady, 27, assaulted the cadet after escorting her back from a mid-term party held at the base in February this year.

When the pair reached their accommodation, Morady pulled the trainee pilot into his room, despite her resisting by holding onto the door frame.

As the girl struggled to escape, the pair fell on to Morady's bed, but she fought him off by kneeing him in the stomach and knocking him to the ground.

At Lincoln Magistrates' Court yesterday Morady, a married father of two from Afghanistan, denied assault by beating and told the district judge his religious views "would not allow him to do such a thing."

The victim wept as she gave evidence and told how in the early hours of Sunday, February 13, she left the formal event and was followed shortly after by Morady, who offered to escort her home.

The pair linked arms, but Morady slipped his hand around the victim's waist as they neared their accommodation block.

She then told the court how he tried to pull her into his room by her waist, despite her gripping the door frame and telling him "no Morady, let me go".

She said: "I was saying no and trying to leave. I lost my balance and fell on his bed and he fell on top of me.

"I brought my knee up to my chest and pushed him on to the floor. I ran out of the room. I was not injured, but scared and shaken up, and I didn't know what happened."

District Judge Richard Blake fined Morady £200 and ordered him to pay £50 costs and a £15 victim surcharge. He said: "I realise this will restrict what you take back to your family in Afghanistan, but that is the consequence of what you've done."

Morady is due to fly back to Afghanistan.
