On August 15, 2022, about 1100 central daylight time, a Piper PA-28, N5341W, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident at Sky Landings Airport (22MS), Lucedale, Mississippi. The pilot and passenger were not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight.

The pilot reported that after landing on the turf runway, the airplane veered to the left. The pilot was unable to correct toward centerline and the airplane subsequently nosed over in a peanut field to the left of the runway, which resulted in substantial damage to the right wing and vertical stabilizer.

The airplane was retained for examination.
