The Tom Davis Aviation Career Education Academy will be held in Winston-Salem next month, providing two camps for students.
As many as 30 rising seventh- through ninth-graders can attend the middle school ACE camp June 17-21, while students going into grades 10-12 can attend the camp June 24-28.
The camps will be held at the Liberty Community Development Center at 1713 N. Liberty St. The cost is $75 a student.
The academy is sponsored by the North Carolina Department of Transportation Division of Aviation and the North Carolina Airports Association.
In addition to flying radio-controlled aircraft and working on aircraft model design projects, campers will learn about the theory of flight, aviation history, and study real-world aviation applications.
