Turbulence causes injuries on 2 flights at Logan Airport. Lufthansa Airbus A340-600 and Jetblue Airbus A320-200. General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport (KBOS), Boston, Massachusetts.




BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Turbulence in the skies caused nearly 20 injuries on two different flights. One of those flights was forced to make an emergency landing at Logan International Airport.

Seven people were injured on JetBlue Flight 852 arriving at Logan just before 10 p.m. Sunday from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Six people sustained physical injuries caused by the turbulence. The other passenger was burned from coffee that spilled. One person on that plane told FOX 25 the flight was calm up until that sudden turbulence.

MetroWest Daily News reports that just an hour later, a Lufthansa flight bound for Munich from Charlotte, N.C., was diverted to Logan. As many as 11 people were injured on that flight.
