MiG 21 crashes near Ambala, pilot ejects safely

A MiG-21 fighter aircraft on Tuesday crashed near Ambala air base in Punjab.

However, the two pilots of the fighter plane managed to eject safely before the crash.

Further details are awaited as a team of Indian Air force has been reached the accident site and investigation is on.

Earlier, on August 2, a MiG-21 fighter aircraft was crashed while landing at Naal airfield in Bikaner district of Rajasthan, killing its pilot. The Flying Officer MS Pillai died in the incident.

It worth mentioning that 24 aircrafts have been crashed in the last three years, killing four servicemen and five civilians.
