A pilot's worst nightmare: cockpit fire in flight (or even on ground). Would really love to know more information on this when it comes out. What kind of fire and where specifically? Did the battery catch on fire causing the malfunction or did the electrical malfunction cause the battery to catch fire?

ReplyDeleteHighest injury: none. Lucky pilots. I don't know if the pilots were in the plane when it happens but wow. I need more info to make a proper guess.
ReplyDeleteSeems like the pilots were technically "underway" since the notice includes:
DeleteFlight Phase: EN ROUTE (ENR)
Could be preflight or something.
