Ledyard, New London County, Connecticut: Man arrested after he interrupts youth football game with flying drone

LEDYARD, CT (WFSB) -  A 31-year-old man was arrested after police said he caused a delay in a youth football game by flying a drone over a field in Ledyard this weekend. 

Police said Daquawn Knight, of New London, was asked by both youth football officials and police officers to stop flying the drone over Judge Crandall Football Field on Saturday night. Police said Knight refused to stop flying and was arrested after he safely landed the drone.

Knight was charged with breach of peace and interfering with an officer.

He was released on a $500 bond. Knight is scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on Nov. 10.
