Postcards from the Past: Rosecrans Memorial Airport (KSTJ), St. Joseph, Buchanan County, Missouri
The tower at Rosecrans Memorial Airport is shown circa 1960. The Airport Cafe (first floor, right) is still a wonderful place for breakfast and lunch, especially with pie. While civilian aircraft like this single-engine plane are a vital part of the airport business, military flights also play a major role in airport use, particularly the C-130 transport planes from the 139th Airlift Wing stationed at Rosecrans.
