A flight out of Nassau County was cut short Wednesday afternoon when engine trouble forced the pilot to make an emergency landing on the highway in Yulee, authorities said. 

The plane flying out of Hilliard Airpark abruptly landed on U.S. 17 near Interstate 95 in Yulee about 1 p.m., Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper told First Coast News.

Viewer Martin Everett caught the landing on video.

The pilot pushed the aircraft off the road and into a gas station parking lot with some help from passersby, a spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration told First Coast News.

The FAA is investigating the incident, spokesperson Kathleen Bergen said.

There were no injuries or damage to the plane reported.
