RENO, Nev. (AP) — The Reno-area’s emergency medical helicopter
service will be offering chopper rides to raise money for equipment.
Care
Flight says the promotion will also give residents a chance to
experience what it’s like to ride inside a medical helicopter — without
experiencing a medical emergency.
For
$75 per seat, people can take a 15-minute ride from one of three Care
Flight locations. There are three seats available per flight.
Care Flight officials say money raised will help fund life-saving equipment.
The
Saturday flights will be offered Sept. 22 at the airport in Truckee,
Calif; Sept. 29 at Carson Valley Medical Center in Douglas County; and
Oct. 6 at the REMSA office in Reno.
