A commercial pilot successfully landed this Cessna 172S Skyhawk SP in a winter wheat field near James Mill Road and Rosebud Island Road, Monday morning after an apparent mechanical failure. A failed cylinder blew the cowling open spewing oil and the pilot circled the farm field seven miles north of the West Memphis Municipal Airport.
