Seat rail, carriag...Accident pilot owned the plane. Seat rail, carriage and latch pin wear is a well known issue in older Cessnas and worthy of pre-flight inspection by the pilot. Instead of relying solely on the butt wiggle test, why not adjust the seat, then hop out and get a good look at the security of the latch work? Can the seat carriage lift up?
