(No rotational damage to crank or spinner, no characteristic damage to branches . . .per the report, plus the prop damage, only one blade shattered) Nothing found wrong on the engine, so carb ice or fuel exhaustion? I wonder why no fuel in carb or fuel line, even though he said it had about 1/2 tank. I hope the instructor recovered from his injuries.
