But that recent incident in which Air Canada missed another aircraft by a few feet, combining lining up with the taxiway on approach with slow recognition of the error, was not comforting. I have been trying since January to claim "compensation" for a flight that was delayed a day. Due to the number of claims, it has taken eight months and counting to receive the compensation. Plus they will not compensate for all costs, just a hotel and food. They refused to have us accommodated on another airline.
