Assuming a previous poster was correct that the DA was 9100', that would reduce the sea level power from 160hp to about 125hp (-3%/1000'), along with less lift. This couple appeared to be extremely happy and I personally think that the pilot forgot his responsibly and got caught up in the moment. He was an experienced Army pilot with a commercial rating. He also was multi-engine rated and instrument rated.
