Correct - The stand is just a pole that attaches under the tail and hangs down (red in the photo below). Must not have stayed attached to the tail when the Pilatus see-sawed.
If it was that aft-CG heavy before PAX were loaded, and there are only four seats forward of the wing to equalize heavy weight in the tail (cockpit seats and first two cabin seats), and it took just one person to head to the back to see-saw it, then maybe they shouldn't have taken off to begin with.
Or they had something interesting in the back as part of loaded freight and the PAX crowded to see it. A "Look at the puppy" group move could momentarily shift the cg enough.
Must have been a surprise to whoever was boarding to have the floor pitch down as the cg swung the nose up. Perhaps they should load front rows first.
