Robb Randy Rishor, 55, of Salmon, Idaho passed away May 14, 2018. Robb was born in Yakima, Washington on August 20, 1962. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held for Robb on Sunday May 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Sacajawea Center in Salmon, Idaho. Please bring your favorite potluck dish. An ultralight plane crash took the life of a Salmon man Monday in Lemhi County.

Robb Rishor, 55, died when the aircraft he was flying crashed into a field north of the Lemhi County Airport. There were no witnesses.

The Lemhi County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash site around noon after it was discovered by a ranch hand.

Sheriff Steve Penner estimates the crash took place around 10 to 11 a.m.

Penner said the cause of the crash is unknown and an investigation is ongoing.

SALMON — A Salmon man was killed Monday afternoon when his ultralight aircraft crashed into a farmer’s field.

The 55-year-old man, whose name has not been released, was found in the field near the Salmon airport around 12:20 p.m., according to Lemhi County Sheriff Steve Penner.

“We’re not sure why or how he crashed. He was in an ultralight aircraft when he went down,” Penner tells

Detectives continue their investigation.
