Incident occurred July 30, 2016 at Wittman Regional Airport (KOSH), Oshkosh, Winnebago County, Wisconsin

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) – A helicopter made an emergency landing at EAA AirVenture Saturday afternoon.

Dick Knapinski, an EAA spokesman, says it happened at around 4:00 p.m.

A helicopter with three people on board, a pilot and two passengers, had to make an emergency landing at Wittman Regional Airport, although we don’t know why they had to make that landing.

The pilot set the chopper down on the runway. No one was hurt and everyone got out safely.

Knapinski says the groups was on a sightseeing tour.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
