It's hard to refuse an invitation to a moonlight cruise. And harder still when you know the destination is a waterfront restaurant overlooking the Chesapeake Bay.
So on a beautiful evening, we climbed aboard the 32-foot powerboat Moxie and headed out across the bay to Hemingway's at the Bay Bridge Marina.
All of us on board had patronized the former Hemingway's before it closed last September and we were curious to experience what the new owners have done with the Kent Island landmark.
From the water, the stylish two-story building looked inviting and quite different from its predecessor. We entered the channel into the Bay Bridge Marina and were directed to a complimentary slip on the bulkhead directly behind the restaurant.
